I rebuilt the Internet

For the Rebuild The Internet assignment, my brain immediately went to the idea of lots of small pieces working together to create a common goal. The internet is made up of millions of little pieces, all doing their job just right, to reach a common goal. Which is why random pieces of paper are cut and ripped and chopped, but still all work together to create a background. I also wanted a sense of spontaneity in this project, which is why I picked the different shades of blue. There was no rhyme or reason as to why I chose blue, but it looked good to the eye, and that’s what I was reaching for.

The web that I created was intended to be rather literal. The internet is also referred to as the web. So each piece of this is working together to create a harmonious moment. The background works together to create a background with which the web itself can live.
